Nagda (Madhya Pradesh): Grasim PR manager Sanjay Vyas informed that 100 farmers from villages of Nipania, Atalavada, Ninavat Kheda, Kalsi, Khajuria, Bhatisuda, Bhilsuda, Palki, Piploda, Parmarkhedi, Kilodiya, Umarni and Kharmandi have been trained and explained on organic farming methods.

Under the corporate social responsibility, Grasim aims to educate farmers about organic farming in rural areas. The department had also distributed earthworm kits to farmers. The industry’s efforts have helped farmers raise earthworms and practice organic farming, he added.

The training program was organized under the leadership of Nagda’s Development Program Unit Head, K Suresh, and Human Resources Department Vice-President, Sudhir Kumar Singh.

Grasim Industries has recently been actively working for skills development, livestock development and horticultural development to promote sustainable livelihoods among the villagers. Grasim’s CSR manager, Satish Bhuvir and Jeevan Porwal, have organized several programs for the same.
